Robert Thurman paid visit to the International Centre of the Roerichs
On Wednesday, 20 April, the famous American scientist, writer, public figure, president and founder of the Tibet House U.S. Robert Thurman visited the non-governmental Museum named after Nicholas Roerich. Professor R.Thurman is the Chair Indo-Tibetan Buddhist Studies named after Jey Tsong Khapa at Columbia University.
On April 15, 2016 the non-governmental Museum named after Nicholas Roerich of the International Centre of the Roerichs hosted the gala evening dedicated to the 81th anniversary of the Roerich Pact.

Anti-cultural activity of the Ministry of Culture’s leadership is a shame for Russia
It is hard to amaze us with an epidemic of corruption among Russian officials. From time to time the high-profile corruption scandals come to light. On the one part they give hope to the society that Authorities are not determined to put up with this “pesthole” of modern civilization, but on the other part they testify that the basis of vertical of power in Russia relies on people who lost all moral compasses in life, and this corrupted basis needs to be urgently changed.

Exhibition dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Roerich Pact opened in the USA
On March 5 the “Banner of Peace”, designed by Nicholas Roerich, met guests of the Russian Cultural Center in the capital of the USA. The exhibition dedicated to the 80th anniversary of signing of the Roerich Pact, the first international treaty on protection of the cultural heritage, was opened here.

Construction of White Tara Mandala
International Center – Museum named after N.K. Roerich and Fund of Development and consolidation of cultural traditions «Drepung Gomang Center» present «Construction of White Tara Mandala and week of temple rituals of monastery Drepung Gomang». Monks of VII official delegation of Monastery-university Drepung Gomang from South India headed by Very Reverend Gyaltsang Rinpoche will construct sand White Tara Mandala – of BUDDHA OF LONG LIFE and will conduct temple rituals of Monastery Drepung Gomang.

Yuri Temirkanov headed the International Centre of the Roerichs in Moscow
On March 4, 2016 the extraordinary General Assembly of the International Centre of the Roerichs, held in Moscow at the non-governmental Museum named after Nicholas Roerich, elected Yuri H. Temirkanov – the artistic director of the St. Petersburg Academic Philharmonic named after D.D. Shostakovich, Chief Conductor of the Honoured Collective of the Russian Academic Philharmonic Orchestra – as the President of the International Centre of the Roerichs.

International Women’s Day Celebrated in Roerich Estate
Celebrating the International Women’s Day has become a good tradition of the International Roerich Memorial Trust (IRMT). On that day the IRMT opens its doors to first of all the women of Kullu giving them the opportunity to exhibit their art, deliberate on the role of women and their problems and just to feel the atmosphere of the women’s holiday.
