Documentary exhibition dedicated to the Roerich Pact in Sophia

November 28, 2011 saw the opening of the exhibition dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the First International Conference dedicated to the Roerich Pact in Brugesat the National Music Academy «Prof. Pancho Vladigerov», Sophia. The exhibition is organized by the National Music Academy «Prof. Pancho Vladigerov», Archives State Agency of Bulgaria, and the Bulgarian National Roerich Society — the Bulgarian Branch of the ICR. The exhibition features materials on the history of the Roerich Pact; on the creative implementation of the Pact ideas in the 1970s by Lyudmila Zhivkova, Chairperson of the Bulgarian Committee on Culture, as well as on the development of the Pact and the Banner of Peace at the modern stage of the activities carried out by the International Centre of the Roerichs and the Museum named after Nicholas Roerich.

At the opening ceremony Prof. Dimitr Momchilov, rector of the National Music Academy, presented the representative of the Bulgarian National Roerich Society with the Symphonic fantasy №6 score, created in 2011 by a modern Bulgarian composer Velislav Zaimov and dedicated to the Roerich Pact.

The exhibition opening ceremony was followed by the demonstration of a documentary «Time to gather stones...» by producer Valery Shatin.
