The Second volume of festschrift by Svetoslav Roerich “Awake Beauty in Your Mind…” is prepared for publication

ICR prepared for publication the second volume of festschrift by Svetoslav Roerich “Awake Beauty in Your Mind…” Its first volume financed by popular donations was published in 2015.  Cost of publication of the second volume amounts to 680000ք, while only 367000ք have been collected.

Brief description of the edition:

The Second volume comprises documents dated 1977-2016 related to life, artistic creation and public activity of Svetoslav Roerich.

The edition includes more than 160 documents, many of which have never been published before. Among them are articles by Svetoslav Roerich dedicated to culture, its history and future, texts of speeches and lectures, which took place in India, USSR and Bulgaria in 1980-1990. These documents were rebuild on the base of audio and video records from Manuscript Department and from ICR archive, transcripts by Madame Molchanova and those from the archive of Bulgarian National Radio. Publications considering Svetoslav Roerich and interviews with him published in Soviet, Bulgarian and Indian periodical press, as well as memories of the artist’s meetings with politicians, journalists, scientists, luminaries etc. are also presented.

A separate section includes documents considering history of establishment of ICR and cover Svetoslav Roerich’s efforts to establish Soviet Roerichs Fund and Centre-Museum named after Nicholas Roerich in Russia.
