The International Centre of the Roerichs participated in the 64th Annual UN DPI/NGO Conference

The delegation consisting of A.V.Postnikov, President of the International Centre of the Roerichs and Y.D.Kalinchenko, Head of the International Department took part in the annual Conference of non-governmental organizations of the UN Department of Public Information.

This year the Conference which is the main event in the field of cooperation between UN and non-governmental organizations was held in Bonn, Germany, on September 3-5, 2011. It was the forth UN DPI/NGO Conference organised outside the UN headquarters in New York. The Conference theme «Sustainable Societies; Responsive Citizens» highlighted effective ways in which civil society can contribute to fostering sustainability. More than 1500 representatives of public organizations from about 70 countries participated in it. The ICR delegation took part in the Conference Round Tables and seminars, as well as in the Summit of the Association for Peace, Love and Sustainable Development.
