The final day of the conference “Problems of Russian Cosmism”

Attempts to understand existence of evil and imperfection in the world in the presence of good origin which is called God or the Absolute were made from the ancient times. The report «Problem of theodicy in the philosophy of Russian Cosmism» by Sergey V. Skorodumov, Head of the Inter-regional Information Research Center, Chair of the Orion Roerich society (Yaroslavl), was dedicated to analysis of the Silver Age philosophers' researches in this field. In theosophy of H. Blavatsky and the philosophical system of the Living Ethics the above-mentioned problem was solved from the scientific point of view. Spiritual Masters of the East in cooperation with the outstanding philosophers H.P. Blavatsky and E.I. Roerich gave us a new stage of Cosmos awareness and created a harmonious scientific and philosophical system in which the Absolute is represented not as a Personality but as an impersonal spiritual origin or principle.
Representatives of Russian cosmism created different teachings but despite of their differences they had a number of common ideas. In his report «A word about Russian Cosmism» Vladimir N. Mirgorodsky, Candidate of Philosophy from Moscow, focused on the main issues of Russian cosmism. He reviewed the modern methodology of historical and philosophical research which is based on exposing of intellectual influences. According to the reporter the new science will have a new methodology of historical and philosophical research which takes into consideration influences from the highest worlds.

A number of consonants of Russian cosmism with profound ideas of Indian philosophy was described in the report «On the consonance of the Indian philosophy and Russian Cosmism» by Lyubov V. Khomenok, Candidate of Education from Moscow.
In the report “Cosmism and modern technics” B.N. Kantemirov, vice-president of Russian Academy of Cosmonautics named after K.E. Tsiolkovsky raised the issue of influence of technics on the human consciousness.
Natalya A. Perekusikhina, Candidate of Education from Vladimir represented her report «Formation of the axiological attitude of one’s personality to the Universe». She considered the axiological attitude as the basis of Russian cosmists world outlook and suggested it as the foundation for cosmic upbringing of young generation.
In her report «Spiritual perfection is the evolutionary mission of a Man (based on the work of P.A.Florensky «The Pillar and Ground of the Truth»)», Nina A. Salienko, Doctor of Medicine of the Dnepropetrovsk regional health center (Ukraine) explained the main ideas of the prominent cosmist comparing them with the Living Ethics philosophy ideas.
During the evening session of the conference a round table was organized under the chairmanship of prof. V.V. Frolov, deputy Director General of the Museum named after Nicholas Roerich, Head of the USCCI. The subject of discussion was the report «Bright and dark sides of Russian cosmism» by Andrey V. Ivanov, Doctor of Philosophy from Barnaul.
At the end of the conference the resolution was adopted in which the action plan to comprehend and develop the ideas of Russian cosmism was formulated.
