The overall number of the reports at the conference was 34.

The conference participants stressed that the ideas of cosmism in the history of culture are presented in the works of H.P. Blavatskaya, Vl. Soloviev, P.A. Florensky, K.E. Tsiolkovsky, A.L. Chizhevsky, V.I. Vernadsky, N.K. Roerich, H.I. Roerich, Y.N. Roerich, S.N. Roerich. Cosmism was developed in a unique and holistic way by a philosophic system of the Living Ethics created by the Teachers of the East and transmitted to the mankind through the Roerichs, which in their turn made a great contribution in its advance, formation, publication and confirmation under modern conditions. Nowadays cosmism, that is cosmic thinking, attracts more and more attention of scientists, pedagogues, cultural activists, and representatives of other sectors of society.

The essence of the cosmic thinking is a new cognition system that promotes expansion of consciousness, understanding of different ideas about reality, development of interaction mechanisms between a human being and cosmos. Such a cognition system is contained in the Living Ethics philosophy which gives an opportunity to study other worlds and understand their integral unity with the earthly world.

The cosmic thinking is of a great importance for evolution of the mankind, as it helps us to understand the real causes of the spiritual crisis and find the way out of it which lies in conservation, creation and mastering of Culture. Therefore, attracting attention of scientific and cultural community towards formation of the cosmic thinking is a noble and urgent issue.

The major centre of study and development of the cosmic thinking in the world is the International Centre of the Roerichs (Moscow, Russia) which, from the moment of its foundation, is harassed by some state structures and persons in order to deprive the ICR of the Museum building and the Roerichs family heritage. Just recently the ICR was deprived of livelihood for its scientific, cultural and educational activity, as the license of the Master Bank which was headed by Boris I. Bulochnik, Maecenas of the Museum, was revoked. As a result the Master Bank ceased its operations and the business reputation of the Maecenas was ruined. All these issues caused a deep concern of the conference participants.

Within the framework of the conference a literary and musical composition “Cosmic poetry” was performed by Marianna Ozolinya, a member of Executive Committee of the International League for Culture Protection, a member of International Association of Writers and Publicists, Knight of Humanistic Pedagogy (Riga, Latvia), as well as a concert of “Lada” instrumental band of Podolsk Cultural and Educational Centre named after Nicholas Roerich (Khmelnitsky, Ukraine).

The conference adopted a resolution containing recommendations to the conference participants to pay attention to study and popularization of the ideas of cosmism in their work and to promote development of creative cooperation between the members of scientific and cultural organizations of Ukraine in order to incorporate the Living Ethics into scientific researches and further progress of the cosmic thinking.

The conference expressed the protest against slanderous accusations in mass media concerning Boris Bulochnik, a well known Maecenas, who rendered material support to the International Centre-Museum named after Nicholas Roerich scientific, cultural and educational programs.
