Children and parents, teachers of the Academy, the staff of the International Roerichs Memorial Trust led by the Indian and Russian curators gathered in the morning at the IRMT Cultural-Educational Center, where near a centuries-old sacred deodar the chief pujari of the ancient Krishna temple had already begun his holy work. The respected Jagadev Acharya offered prayers to the gods for prosperity and well-being and lit the sacred fire. Teachers and students of the Academy performed a musical prayer to Goddess Saraswati, the patroness of knowledge and arts and guardian of the Helena Roerich Academy of Art, and then the puja ended in the music hall, where the sculpture of Saraswati is located.

The curators of IRMT Larisa Surgina and Suresh Kumar warmly welcomed all the participants. They noted that the Academy at IRMT is not only classes in music, painting, vocal and dance - it is also a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the works of the great Russian artist Nicholas Roerich and his family; to participate in international festivals and competitions; learn a lot about the culture of India and Russia; play Russian games and taste Russian treats.

The Academy has a close-knit team of teachers who treat their students with love and do everything to make the students feel comfortable and interesting at the Academy, so that they can master many arts and skills. They are Anshul Kumar (music and vocal), Anup Kumar (tabla playing), Mamta Thakur (dance), and Sapna Thakur (drawing and painting).

The Academy teachers told about themselves and the upcoming classes, competitions, and celebrations. After that the children went to their classrooms - and in the silence came the sounds of music, the excited voices of the teachers, and the attentive questions from the children. The new semester began...

Dear children and parents! The admission to the Helena Roerich Academy of Art for Children continues. We are waiting for you!
