Since April 28, 2017, the Non-Governmental Museum Named after Nicholas Roerich went defunct with the illegal seizure of the Roerichs' heritage, Lopouknins’ Estate where the Non-Governmental Museum Named after Nicholas Roerich was housed, and other property belonged to the International Center of the Roerichs by the State Museum of Oriental Art with the participation of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
