Between 12-13 April 2014 the First Public-Scientific Conference “The Kailas Phenomenon and its Role in Man's Evolutionary Development” took place in the International Centre of the Roerichs, Moscow. It is the first ever conference dedicated to the study of the Kailas Phenomenon. The Conference was organized by the International Centre of the Roerichs and the Kailas Phenomenon Research Group (Russia).

The Roerich Pact. History and Modernity
The grand opening of the exhibition “The Roerich Pact. History and Modernity” of the International Centre of the Roerichs was arranged on April 15, 2014, on the date of National Day of Culture in the administration building of Magnitogorsk. The exhibition was organized by the International Centre of the Roerichs (Moscow), International Roerichs’ Heritage Preservation Committee (Moscow), administration of Magnitogorsk and Autonomous non-profit cultural and educational organization "ANCO Zvenigorod" (Magnitogorsk). It is dedicated to the treaty on the Protection of Artistic and Scientific Institutions and Historic Monuments or the Roerich Pact.

The Peace Palace
The exhibition “The Roerich Pact. History and Modernity” opened on 15th of April. The exhibition is organized with the support of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Netherlands and direct involvement of Mr. Jeroen Vervliet, Director of the Peace Palace Library, one of the world's largest collections in the field of public international law. It is noteworthy that the exhibition opening took place on the day of signing of the historic document 79 years ago.

Roerich Pact. History and Modernity
On April 10 in Kovrov Historical and Memorial Museum took place the next phase of the international project , "Roerich Pact. History and Modernity". Kovrov is the first of the cities of Vladimir region , which hosts the exhibition. The event is timed to the Year of Russian culture and the celebration of the 140th birth anniversary of Nicholas Roerich (1874-1947), author of the first international treaty "On the Protection of Artistic and Scientific Institutions and Historic Monuments ."


08.04.2014 Exhibition “The Roerich Pact. History and Modernity” in Angarsk


City of Angarsk became the first city in Eastern Siberia to accept the international exhibition project “The Roerich Pact. History and Modernity”, dedicated to the first treaty on international legal protection of cultural heritage of humanity. This unique outstanding event opened on April 2, 2014 in the museum and library of Roerich Centre “Muzeon” of the city non-governmental organization “Angarsk Roerich Society”.

The grand opening ceremony of the exhibition project “The Roerich Pact. History and Modernity” organized by the International Centre of the Roerichs (ICR) and International Roerichs' Heritage Preservation Committee took place in Novokuznetsk Art Museum on March 6, 2014. The co-organizers of the project were: Novokuznetsk City Administration, Novokuznetsk Art Museum, Novokuznetsk city Roerich Society, National Museum of the Roerich Family of the D.Likhachev's Library.

In the International Roerich Memorial Trust celebration of the Women's Day started with the opening exhibition - "Aesthetics of Green" by a famous Indian journalist, artist and photographer, Asha Arpit.

The exhibition project was organized by the L.N.Gumilev Eurasian National University and the International Centre of the Roerichs together with the International Roerichs’ Heritage Preservation Committee. The exhibition project was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of signing of the International Treaty (Pact) for preservation of artistic and scientific institutions and historical monuments, the Year of Culture in Russia as well as to the 20th anniversary of Eurasian idea declared by the President of Kazakhstan Mr Nursultan Nazarbayev.


03.03.2014 On the 22nd February, a special conference of the International Roerich Centre was held.


For the position of the ICR President there was elected Alexander Prokhorovich Losjukov, Head of the International Roerichs’ Heritage Preservation Committee, and for the position of Vice President – Alexander Vitaljevich Stetcenko, First Deputy General Director of the Museum named after Nicholas Roerich
