Photo exhibition dedicated to the 75th Anniversary of the Roerich Pact in Crimea

The exhibition in Crimea was dedicated to the history of the Roerich Pact — the International Treaty on protection for historic monuments, museums, scientific, artistic, educational and cultural institutions — which became the basis for the worldwide protection of cultural values during war time and social conflicts. The exhibition includes photos, historical documents, posters, post stamps and other exhibits.

The program of events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Roerich Pact includes a competition-plein for students of Crimea branch of the National Academy of Art and Architecture, Crimea Art College by name of N. Samokish, and Children's Art School of Simferopol. The young artists works should attract public attention to the problem of protection of historical, architectural and cultural monuments of their city. The outcome of the competition will be announced on April 15, the day of the 75th Anniversary of the Roerich Pact. The best paintings will be selected for the exposition of the jubilee photo exhibition.
