Helena Roerich Academy of Arts (for Children) sees off its Students for Winter Vacation
On November 26, the International Roerich Memorial Trust (IRMT) held a Closing Ceremony of the Academic session at the Helena Roerich Academy of Arts (for children). The celebration took place in the Green Theater of the IRMT, where dressed up children and their parents, as well as teachers of the Academy and the staff of the Roerichs Trust gathered. A musical prayer to the Goddess Saraswati was performed, and Suresh Kumar and Larisa Surgina, the Indian and Russian Curators of the IRMT, welcomed everyone.

“Roerichs: the Indian Way.” Svetoslav Roerich’s Birthday at the IRMT
On October 22, 2023, the Roerich Estate celebrated the 119-th birth anniversary of Svetoslav Roerich – an artist, sage and public figure, founder of the International Roerich Memorial Trust (IRMT, Naggar) and the International Centre of the Roerich (ICR, Moscow), the youngest son of Nicholas and Helena Roerich. Svetoslav’s portrait was placed under a four-trunked pine-tree near the Roerichs’ house, by tradition, shanti-puja was held, uniting Indian, Russian and Belarusian guests in a sacred prayer.

Nazima V.K.'s Art Exhibition at the Roerich Estate
From October 14 to 16, the International Roerich Memorial Trust hosted an exhibition of Indian artist Nazima V.K. The exhibition was inaugurated by guests from Russia Tamara Merges and Vasily Tkachev, heads of the volunteer group of the International Center of the Roerichs (Moscow). The artist and all visitors of the exhibition were cordially welcomed by Suresh Kumar, Indian Curator of the IRMT.

The Round Table “Roerichs: the Indian Way” at the IRMT
On the birthday of the great Russian artist, scientist and thinker Nicholas Roerich, the International Roerich Memorial Trust held a Round table dedicated to the Roerich family’s stay in India. The Round table was attended by the volunteers of the International Centre of the Roerichs (ICR, Moscow), the members of the creative Family Club “Semitsvetik” (Troitsk, Russia), Indian and Russian guests.

On Sunday, October 8, the Roerich Estate in Naggar welcomed guests. On this day there was a festival to mark the 149th Birth Anniversary of Nicholas Roerich, the great Russian artist, thinker, scientist, whose work is recognised as a national treasure of India.

Festival of Children's and Youth creativity "Russia-India: from Heart to Heart" at the Roerich Estate
On October 5 the International Roerich Memorial Trust (IRMT) hosted the International Children and Youth Festival of Russian-Indian Friendship “Russia-India: from Heart to Heart” organized by volunteers of the International Centre of the Roerichs (ICR, Moscow) in close cooperation with the IRMT and its Helena Roerich Academy of Arts for Children.

On the eternally existent and the immutable.... Hem Lata Thakur's exhibition at IRMT
Hem Lata Thakur is an artist from Manali (HP). She has no professional art education, but her natural talent and ardent desire to express her feelings and impressions with the help of colors have determined her creative way.
On June 28-30, her first exhibition was held at the International Roerich Memorial Trust. The exhibition was inaugurated by Carol Fraser, an artist from England and long-time friend of the IRMT, and Larisa Surgina, Russian curator of the IRMT, an employee of the International Center of the Roerichs (Moscow), as well as Indian and Russian staff and guests of the Roerichs' Estate.

“Divine Strokes” - Exhibition of Paintings by Sadhna Sangar and the Women Artists of the "WE" Group at the Roerich Estate
An exhibition of paintings by renowned artist Sadhna Sangar and her associates from the “WE” Group, Chandigarh was held at the International Roerich Memorial Trust from May 28 to 31, 2023. Mrs. Sunayana Sharma, District Tourism Development Officer, was the Chief Guest at the grand opening of the exhibition titled “Divine Strokes”. The artists were also welcomed by the Indian and Russian curators of the IRMT, the head and members of the creative women's group of the CHAP Foundation, guests and staff of the Roerich Trust.

The Art of Calligraphy by Artist Harish Verma at IRMT
An exhibition of paintings by renowned calligrapher Harish Verma from Jalandhar (Punjab) was held at the Exhibition Hall of the International Roerich Memorial Trust. The exhibition was inaugurated on June 11, 2023.
Harish Verma is widely known for his achievements in the arts and has won several prestigious awards. His main passion is calligraphy, the ancient art of writing for which India is famous.

Children's Day at the Roerich International Memorial Trust
On November 14, Bal Divas, or Children's Day, is celebrated annually in India. This holiday was established to honor the birthday of Jawaharlal Nehru, a prominent statesman and the first Prime Minister of independent India.
Nehru always believed that the future of a nation lies in the impeccable care of children. His dream was to see children who had a sense of dignity, children who were confident in their abilities and possibilities.
